Dominic Lucas Sacranie

timeworn @spotlites @edfringe

Tuesday 18th & Tuesday 25th Aug

11.05am (40 mins)

From Scotland

Timeworn is a unique sound poem and healing meditation on the Anthropocene written and performed live by D.L Sacranie.

The piece is comprised of words and music that frequently overlap with one another. The words include 30 poems, Latour Litanies (lists of random objects) looped words and phrases, as well as breaths and stutters. While the music combines deep and growling bass drones, drums and percussion, chanting, wails and airy ethereal choral accompaniments.

Timeworn is an attempt to think the Anthropocene and sit with the traumas that humans, as a species, have inflicted upon the earth.
