Street, Chatham was originally a catering warehouse.
Spotlites have started to transform the building. Work is now
complete on the upper floor which is now a highly flexible
theatre
and the lower floor will be used for our studio theatre, costume hire, coffee bar, rehearsal space, scenery workshop, art gallery and office.
Our new theatre will enable us to produce a wider range of shows, with a greater number of performances - and will allow Spotlites members to experience working with a wide range of theatre equipment in a fully functioning theatre.
The transformation of the Kings Theatre is already underway, but there is a lot of work to be done before it reaches its full potential.
