Review from The Stage:

'Rachel King, who founded the company about 20 years ago, writes professional shows which are performed by three versatile young professional actors ...

And all these shows are interactive - and that doesn’t just mean a bit of banter with the front row, hurling a few sweets and having an audience singalong. King is now so adept at finding ways of bringing groups of children onto the stage to help drive the story along that she has almost invented a sub-genre of her own.

Yesterday, for example, enthusiastic kids helped James Cowden, (very watchable, as Merlin) hunt for spell books and vanquish evil knights with “real” battleaxes. Children also worked in teams to drive Nimue, the Lady of the Lake, back to her watery home. And they fought to save the beautiful scaly, fire-breathing dragon, played with panache by Kieron Riddell from death at the hands of the dragon slayer, also played by Cowden. Not that participating children are always on the same side. They helped the dragon slayer too ...

I drove away from Kings Theatre yesterday, delighted as usual, to have seen so many children learning, developing and having such fun with theatre, drama and - quite literally - playing.' - Stage (Dec 2011)
